This section provides step-by-step instructions for operating the diode laser function, including single-source operation and dual-source configuration. Proper setup and calibration are essential to ensure marking accuracy and consistency between the red preview laser and the actual engraving result.
Please follow the procedures carefully to achieve precise alignment, correct scaling, and optimal engraving performance when using the diode laser independently or in combination with the fiber laser.
¶ Preparation
- Connect the device to LightBurn. When the interface shows “Ready”, the connection has been established successfully.
- Adjust the device marking height so that the two red laser beams align perfectly.
- Use a 100×100 rectangle as an example for the engraving.
¶ Using CO2 Laser Alone
- Click on the square icon to draw a rectangle.
- Adjust the rectangle’s dimensions to 100×100.
- Center the rectangle.
- Set the second light source.
- Select the second light source and double-click it.
- Start marking with the diode light.
- Observe the actual engraving size and compare it with the previewed red laser. As shown in the image, the actual engraving is smaller than the preview.
- Adjust the red laser scaling; the previewed red laser is too large, so reduce the scaling.

¶ Using Fiber and Blue Light Simultaneously
- Draw two 100×100 rectangles in the workspace.
图片 - Assign them to different layers. Using the blue layer as an example, select one rectangle and set it to the blue layer.
图片 - Configure the two layers to use different light sources; set the blue layer to the second light source.
图片 - Center both rectangles.
图片 - Mark the two rectangles separately and compare the results. The diode marking will appear smaller than expected.
- Adjust the rectangle dimensions on the blue layer. During adjustment, use blue-light marking to verify the result.
DUAL SE recommended (diode layer): increase length to 1.03× and width to 1.05×.
