The protective cover is equipped with a limit detection mechanism to ensure safe operation. If the cover fails to reach the upper limit position, the system will not trigger the “Protective Cover Opened In-Position” signal, and subsequent operations will be restricted for safety reasons.
This guide provides a systematic troubleshooting procedure to identify potential mechanical obstructions or structural issues, along with recommended corrective actions to restore normal lifting functionality and ensure safe equipment operation.
¶ Symptom Description
The protective cover cannot reach the upper limit position, and the system does not trigger the “Protective Cover Opened In-Position” signal, preventing subsequent operation.
¶ Possible Causes
- Foreign objects obstructing the protective cover guide rail.
- Wear of the guide-rail slider block and/or the guide plate.
- Deformation of the protective cover.
¶ Preliminary Assessment Steps
- No foreign objects, and no looseness or deformation of components → Mechanical structure is normal.
- Presence of foreign objects or component damage → Mechanical jam.
¶ Troubleshooting
Steps 1–8 are relatively straightforward and require minimal operational skill. It is recommended to verify and inspect them sequentially in the order listed.
- Stop the machine and disconnect the main power supply.
- Protective cover tool list：
- 2.5 mm hex key (Allen wrench) × 1
- 2.0 mm hex key (Allen wrench) × 1
- Auxiliary tool: suction cup × 1

Use the suction cup to prepare for disassembling the column top cover.

Using the hex key, gently unscrew all the screws on the column top cover one by one.

Continue using the hex key to remove the handle and the handle extension rod.

Use the hex key to unscrew the three retaining screws on the bottom plate.

Gently unscrew the hex nut on the rear cover using your fingers. Hold the rear cover with both hands, gently rock it up and down, and disconnect the emergency stop switch and button wiring from the rear cover.

At this point, the side protective cover guide plate can be inspected.
¶ Corrective Actions
- Clean the foreign objects from the guide rail and apply lubricant.
- Tighten all loose transmission components.
- Correct the deformed protective cover frame.
¶ Verification Test
- Press the manual up/down button multiple times to test whether the protective cover moves smoothly.
- Ensure the protective cover reaches the upper limit position, and confirm that the lifting and lowering actions are normal, with no sticking, abnormal noises, and that the in-position signal functions correctly.
